Our new listing at 30 Norman Street in Annerley is as pretty as a picture and there is one feature which you can't miss when looking at the front facade.
The Double Gabled roofline has lovely street appeal and is classic of the Californian Bungalow style in Queensland.
Also know as pitched or peaked roof, gabled roofs are some of the most popular and are easily recognised by their triangular shape. Gable roofs will easily shed water and provide more space in the roof cavity or for vaulted ceilings and allow more ventilation.
Double gabled obviously can mean many different types of configuration but in this instance, you can see that the roof-lines are parallel but one is higher and larger than the one in the foreground.
You can see a lot of the similarities between the image of our Annerley home and the drawing above from the battened gable end walls, and the low pitched roof along with it's lowset position from the front of the property.
See the image gallery below for variations on this theme.
