Know your area. You must become an expert in your chosen location as it will help you will make decisions quickly and with confidence to secure your dream property.
Prioritise your needs and wants. Write down everything you are looking for in a property and then put them in a list 1, 2, 3... etc until you have an idea on what you MUST have and what you are willing to COMPROMISE for your new property. Take this list to every property you see.
See the property ASAP. If you don't see the property on the first Open Home, in this hot market you might miss out. Give yourself time to come back and see it on a second, or even third inspection but make sure the Agent knows you're interested so they let you know when they are taking offers to the Vendor.
Organise your finance. It's so important to have your finance sorted BEFORE you start looking for your home. Know exactly how much you have to spend so you're looking at the right properties for your budget and can offer as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
